After six months of planning and preparation, I have completed a special project of depicting my home country, Tunisia, in space. Weather balloons have been used since 1896 as a technique to discover the troposphere and the stratosphere. To this day, weather balloons are used to obtain information on atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind speed. By adding a camera to a weather balloon, we are able to capture incredible images from up to 90,000 feet in space. Inspired by others who completed similar projects and shared footage of these stunning views, I adopted this project in order to portray our beloved Tunisian flag at high altitude. After much research and investment, I acquired the proper equipment and instruction for a successful launch on August 9th, and I’m excited to share the final product with you all. This video is dedicated to the victims and honorable soldiers who lost their lives protecting our home soil. I’m sharing with you this project as a symbol of hope and a reminder that, together, we can build a better Tunisia.
